Short story writing:
Junior students at Banagher College recently had the opportunity to compete to claim the honour of being the creative writing champion for their respective years. Not surprisingly, the standard was extraordinarily high and narrowing down the entries to a short list proved extremely difficult. With that feat finally achieved, the public now have an opportunity to have a say in who claims the coveted titles – along with trophies and prizes – for each winner in first, second and third year.
Junior and senior students can win an ipad and a trip to London by composing an original fantasy short story (800-1200 words). You can find an entry form, as well as all the information you need at www.brainfood.ie
After making last year’s grand final, Banagher College students have a chance to go one better this year and bring home the over all prize (not to mention an ipad for each team member!). Get all the details here.
Another ipad is on offer for the winning team that can design a successful advertising campaign for milk and dairy products. Teams of up to six must try convince their peers to consume more of these calcium-rich products. The closing date for the campaign plans is November 30th, 2010. More information is available at milkitawards.ie/introduction/
Well done to all the teams who participated and particularly to those who made the next round. More information on the second round process is available at this link.
